2020 Sports Travel Bucket List

Hello 2020! The new year is just around the corner and my travel senses are tingling. In the last few years, I have made an ambitious bucket list of trips that I’d like to take in the next 12 months. In 2019, I was able to make trips happen like the first London Series, visiting the Field of Dreams, and watching the Seahawks play in Arizona. In the next year, my focus will not only be on baseball, but specifically the MiLB teams that are in jeopardy of losing their MLB affiliations (as reported by The New York Times) and women’s sports. So, without further ado, here is my 2020 travel bucket list;

  1. The Field of Dreams game in Dyersville
  2. Escape to the Cape League
  3. Go down under to see the Australian Baseball League
  4. See NHL Seattle in their first season (can we please get a name?)
  5. Visit Cooperstown
  6. Play Leatherstocking in Cooperstown
  7. See a Connecticut Suns game
  8. Go to a UConn women’s basketball game
  9. Watch a USWNT team match (if they’re in the area)
  10. See stars in the MLB All-Star Game in LA
  11. Watch the Red Sox/Yankees rivalry in New York
  12. Finally visit Camden Yards OR Wrigley
  13. MiLB teams on the “chopping block” including; *Vermont Lake Monsters
  14. Head north for the *Lowell Spinners
  15. Retrace steps at the *Tri-City Dust Devils (where it all began for me)
  16. Say hello to The now *Norwich Seaunicorns (formerly the Connecticut Tigers)
